10/3/2026

Science in the Pub Adelaide
Friday 27th March 2026 -
The Fossil Forecast: Using the Past to Understand Our Climate Future

What can fossils tell us about the future of our planet? Join us for an engaging evening as we explore how scientists use clues preserved in rocks, shells, and ancient ecosystems to reconstruct past climates - and what they reveal about the changes happening today. From deep-time climate shifts to modern predictions, discover how the fossil record helps us understand where Earth’s climate may be headed next.

Panellists:
Dr Tamara Fletcher – Adelaide University
A/Prof John Tibby – Adelaide University
